Our own DNA contradicts this. Man has always been sceptical about change. We have ourcomfort zone in which we feel comfortable. We can see how difficult it is for us to change at the request of someone else, for example, in numerous marital disputes. In the professional context, there is hardly such a close relationship of trust as in a marriage.
If we demand change from other people, we must therefore understand the process that people go through when they want to change. Our approach for guiding our clients through their change initiative is therefore twofold:
- Training the people of the organization in Change Management.
- Completion of a risk analysis of the organization and project, to select the right Change Management approach.
Ultimately, however, primarily economic aspects also support change management. The faster we reach the break-even point of a project, the faster the project will have paid for itself and the investment will have been worthwhile.
